Well things kinda fell together and I put this biatch together yesterday :good

Went pretty smooth, and after double cking the timing marks 4 times. I noticed it was on wrong again :beat

I tell you the 0 mark on the crank gear is barely visable. And there are other marks to confuse you even more. This is a pic of it on wrong :flamed

This is with it correct, also learned that the pin on the camshaft is at 3 oclock when the marks are lined up right(6 oclock and 12 oclock)

Next is the valve train :beer

Another thing I've learned is run the valves before you put on the intake. Its easier to find zero lash by spin the push rods in the block than trying to grab them under the rockers.

Funny this thing fell together pretty smooth its no jewel but its looks like a good one to run for a couple of years :beer

Yeah if anything I'm going to keep an eye on the oil pressure I'm hoping worst case is burning up a rod bearing the clearances are a bit on the tight side. :eek

Oh yeah and just a little FYI, leaving the mounts on the stringer is not good :break

took about 2 hours just to get the motor bolted in :fight

Fired it off last night for about 10 seconds, tonight I'll get the cam broke in and set the timing. Takin tomorrow off to button it up :drink
