Ok you asked. I got a message Saturday night that my Mom was doing poorly and another message Sunday morning that she had passed. She had been fighting Heart Disease and Congestive Heart Failure for more than 3 months.
I was pretty ready for it. My Brother and Sister were with her when it happened at the hospice, said it was very peaceful and quite. I decided to stay and and deal with it on my own terms. I was my Moms oldest and I left the house when my siblings were very young and they have lived with Mom off and on all their lives. Total different relationships.

Mom and I had more or less said our goodbyes when she left the hospital a month or so ago to go home into home care.

I miss you Mom and Love You very much.

God is Great, Beer is Good, and People are Crazy......

I am so very sorry for your loss.  Your relationship with your Mom may have been different than your siblings, but that doesn't make the loss any easier to deal with, even when you know it's coming.  Know that you're in my heart and prayers, my friend.  Rest in Peace, Mom.

I'm with CK on the fact that even though it may be "expected", it's still tough to lose a parent.
