Ok I have to ask this, my buddy said to me a few months ago that people here in ohio are very rude and it's all about me, I said never really notice this, He said after his trip to Cali. he has notice this, I thought he was nuts, But today I had 4 cars hurry up and cut me off and 2 that just plain didn't care that I was turning right and they almost hit me, I hold the door open for some lady and she didn't even say thank's and nobody smile's around here, and I know I don't smile much either and I kind of keep to myself while out and about and don't like talking to other people, but Man are we really that rude here and I wonder if the weather has alot to do with it.

This cutting me off bit happens all the time and they all seem to just need to be first at the light But I sure it's like that all over but what about the people them self, So are the folks out there in AZ and Cali just as rude and do they smile at you when you walk by or look at you like they are going to kill someone. Oh and Not just talking about kids, but older 40's 50's 70's don't matter, I have had 70 year olds slam the door on me, and I always hold the door open for them and ladys.

There's rude people everywhere, always has been. Weather is always a factor. People get depressed in bad weather. I think the economy is making things a bit worse too. Even the peeps that still have a job that they been working at for 20+ years know it all might end tomorrow. A 50 year old lady that your holding the door to the grocery store open for might be there to buy a weeks worth food for her two kids and they're two kids also, all on her last $50 dollars. Everybody has a lot on their minds these days.

Maybe ya never noticed 'cause, afterall, a skunk doesn't smell the other skunks either! :p

J/K ya. I don't believe that I've ever gotten more than half-a-dozen "thank yous" from people that I've held the door for. Have had 'em wave "thanx" at me for lettin' 'em into traffic though. Bummer thing is, WD is right, there are rude people all over.  But out here in SoCal we call them stupid not just rude.  :beat  
Everyone is in their own little world, oblivious to what is going on around them.  The reason they do not say thank you when you hold the door open, is because they did not see you.  It is all about them, there is nobody else on the planet besides them and they are the most important person no matter when or where they are.
