On two weeks notice I will not be a Saab dealer anymore, after 41 years.
40% of the current Saab dealers were not renewed with the "to be new owners".
They're cutting national dealer network to about ~130, down from 225. Streamlining this deep is crazy.
My customers will have to drive and hour or more to reach a facility that can service them......and this is in a semi-metropolitan region. Image the poor customers who live in more of the rural parts of our country.

I committed to them deeply 5 1/2 years ago by building a facility they more or less demanded.........now I owe on a building that I can't really expect to get any ROI.....................not to mention how this is gonna affect my employees and my customers. It sucks big time. A few of my customers have already written to Saab on our behalf........
Many of them won't ever touch foot inside the next closest dealer. So their options are to drive north about 65 miles, pay for stuff they might not necessarily have to or get rid of the car.

Its a cryin' shame.

I was gonna post a report a few weeks ago. Had lots of break outs by groups in all states. Basicaly had drops in all areas and groups nation wide except one.  :banghead
