CRIT is proposing new regulations for Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) use on the Reservation.

They are similar to the new AZ OHV laws, however these carry a $500 civil fine and confiscation of the OHV, until appearance in Tribal Court or payment of fine.

While the Tribal Court doesn't have jurisdiction over non-Indians for criminal matters, the Federal Appeals Courts have ruled that they CAN prosecute for CIVIL violations.
