Man o man, we should be arguing about who's team is better right about now, but I'm afraid we are both in the same boat! :pissed

What happened to our So Cal Baseball teams??? :beat

I've been going to the local high school baseball games lately...even when the Dodgers are on TV!

I recorded the game last night because I volunteered to hang out with my grandson while his mom and dad went to back to school night.

I'm just not feelin' it. I'm afraid I may just end up watching Dancing With the Stars or something...I need help!!

It's a fact of Life:

After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

I think I'm going to start following minor league baseball again. Nice stadiums, relatively inexpensive, fun people and hilarious team names. :laugh

A friend hooked me up with some Great Lakes Loons stuff, they're affiliated with the Dodgers. I also have a Cedar Rapids Kernels shirt from another friend. In Sacto we have the River Cats, in Stockton we have the Ports, in Modesto we have the Nuts. :laugh

Then there's the Albuquerque Isotops, the Lansing Lugnuts, the Savannah Sand-Gnats, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes...it just keeps getting better. I think I'm going to work on getting all my friends to send me a tshirt from their local team. :good

I do miss the .25 cent beer nights at the Ports games...great fun! :beer

Don't miss the local sluts spending the entire game trying to pick up on the players and team personnel...including my boyfriend. :eek

One of my college friends has season tickets for the Dodgers, can't wait to go see a game with her. I haven't been to a Dodger game since junior high or high school, I think. :eek

Gotta love the Elsinore team, I think Storm. Always in last place, but always #1 in attendance. Nicest stadium with cheap beer and cheap good food.

Actually GMan, there's not a damn thing wrong w/the picture. It's the PITCHERS that suck. And the FIELDING. And the OFFENSE. And the MANAGING. And the FRONT OFFICE. Sh*t....

I had an extermely bad feelin' that my Angels were gonna suck when they let Figgy, Oliver, and Lackey walk and then unceremoniously pushed Guerrero over towards Texa$$. Moreno and his little troll Reagins f*cked this team up so bad so fast nobody knew what hit 'em. Those players didn't make up the team but they did make up the core of leadership in the dugout and on the field. Now they're all standin' around w/their collective thumbs up their butts right next to their heads not knowing what to do. :angry

As for your Doggers....well, they're still the Doggers. :ass

Ya know, I'm not even goin' to make it out to a game this season so we can't even argue 'bout who's beer is colder.

Oh well; there's always the North American Gay Amateur Athletes' Association and their gay softball tournaments. We can always hope for a brawl as they argue that one team isn't gay enough to be playin'.

And in breaking news, at least according to the text KNX sent me awhile ago..Frank McCourt was ordered to pay the soon to be ex Mrs McCourt $225K a month in spousal support and $412K a month for mortgages on multiple properties...

We're awfully proud of our local boy Dallas Braden for throwing a perfect game on Mother's Day. :good

He's true to his roots, continues to commute to Oakland every day rather than move. He knows the people of this city helped him through some pretty rough times, and he's never forgotten that. Some talk the talk, he walks the walk. I'm pretty sure his Mom was watching that game from Heaven, and I'm glad his Grandma was there to witness it. :good

Don't go picking on the one of the few redeeming qualities of going to Dodger Stadium.

In the ravine, the wind blows, the prices, parking, traffic, and many things, including the pitching, suck, but the dogs and the peanuts are good. :good

Sure...you gotta love Chavez Ravine these days...if you make it to the stadium without being assaulted by the thugs that party in that said ravine before, during and after the games!! :beat

If you do make it to the stands, you have to be on guard the entire game due to all the fights, drunks, and in general just idiots that love to spoil everybody else's good time! :beat

Oh...and one more thing....they both suk!!
