That's what I was wondering - is 370 jobs a big deal?  I guess time will tell.
In the case of Mission, I guess they were also one of the biggest customers for the sewer system so Havasu loses jobs and sewer revenue with their closure.
Concerning Coach-Net, it sounds like the "majority" of their employees will be offered jobs in Texas with some type of relocation assistance.  It will be interesting to see how many decide to leave Havasu and follow Coach-Net to Texas. |
That's 1% of the city population that lost jobs. I would bet that it's a lot higher percentage of the total work force in Havi. I would also just guess that many of these 370 have families. Of course if the city raises the Water rates yet again, 100% of the population will be effected. "Damn you sure know how to fock things up."-GFR
