Or just turn on a faucet to a small stream..moving water shouldnt freeze.... But then again I have changed out about 50 burst pipe sections in Pinetop so far this year.....  |
That works too but only if the water flows fast enough to overcome freezing, depending on how cold it is you could waste quite a bit of water!..  |
Very  true, your way is definately better, but who will actuallly go to alll that trouble??   |
When I was living in ABQ, it was in a 5th wheel. Even wrapping the water hose in heat tape, and it would still freeze. So I cracked the faucet in the bathroom one night... except my sewer hose froze... guess what I woke up to the next day? Yep, a bathtub (it was a big enough trailer to have a full size bath) 1/4 full of grey water.
