Been collecting parts for a few months now, case came yesterday memory should be here today. First on the agenda will be to boot up the mobo and make sure the CPU works since you only have 30 days to return a DOA CPU, then assembly of the case should be interesting.. :eek  :D

Well, earlier they said chance of rain this weekend but that went away, but it's still gonna be cold back in the 60's, good time to work on an indoor project, along with a little  :drink  :drink  :good  :D

For all the computer geeksters out there... :break

Here's a time-saving website for updating all those run-times, utilities, and other PC software.

NiNite

You just select the programs you want to update and they do the rest, including avoiding all those little "add-ons" that you don't want loaded... :good

If you don't have the software, it will load it for you... :cool

We went with the paid version and it runs weekly via the central server...a BIG time saver for the Help Desk.

Also give Glary Utilities a try...nice program to keep things tidy on your computer... :beer

Yeah they are cool, takes a bit to build it if you do it right kinda poor design though, I'll post some pics when I start. I intend on lighting it up, it comes with lit up fans but I haven't been able to find purple lights though, blue, red, green is all I could find.. :stupid

That is a cool deal for updating. :good  I use Glary a lot, also use Advanced System Care, seems to find even more crap than Glary.. :good

I would love too, money is a little tight right now.  Just found out that they are dissolving the department I'm in for the city. I'm trying to get on with the company that has a contract that supports the major portion of the phone system. The boat is now at a friends place since I have no place to store it living in an a apartment. Needs work including tires. Come hell or high water I'm shooting to be at Desert Storm with or with out the boat. I prefer to have the boat if possible.

The runs to the springs mid week I really miss. Keep you fingers crossed for me !!  I have been Jones'n for Mead time as well.

Started on the case today, for a kit I was surprised at the quality of the parts stuff actually fits, didn't have to do any sanding or resizing of screw holes, thumbscrews are chrome plastic so naturally there was some filing on the back side for a flat fit not a big deal though. There are a few negatives though, came with only 3 120mm LED fans but has provision for 5, I'll also need an 80mm for the top.. Another negative is the power supply it mounts on the top it should be on the bottom so it can get cold air and not all the hot air that rises from the CPU and drives...  



Also the power/reset control is a ugly POS, I'll eventually make up my own down the road...


Thumbscrews are way too big for edge fasteners looks funky, gonna have to replace those with drive screws.


No problem with add-ons comes with 7 PCI slots..


Next step is the drive bays, comes with different mounting options gotta figure how many drives I'm gonna use first..
