Storm Watch 2015 is here ... wild weather all over the Southwest.
Out along the 10 Frwy Eagle Mtn area, flash floods have taken out a bridge which is going to F'up travel for quite a while ...

East bound Bridge, West bound compromised.

The actual wash is at Tex Wash, west of Desert center, where the abandon Gas station is on the north side of the 10 freeway.

They got to get the traffic from the east bound side to the west side. Thats a good size drop into the center medeon as I remember

It's quite a big drop, said this morning it's suppose to open by noon today but they didn't show how the lanes were routed, probably the same as they did for the other bridge they did a few years ago.. :stupid

I caught that this morning. Bottom line, If you need to go that way. Take your patience and add some time to the travel. You know its only going to be about 35mph until everyone is back on their side of the highway.   ;)

Last Sunday when the bridge washed out I was literally 15 seconds away from going over the westbound side. We then got trapped there for 2 hours before the rain let up enough that little to no water was in the median and I dared to drive through it. My normal 5 hr drive home took 12 hours having to backtrack all the way to Quartzite and head south on the az95 to I-8 west. I had missed making it through the 78 by about 15 minutes before they closed that route too. :(
Long yet interesting day for sure.
