Hello everyone,
ItÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s been a long time since I have been on here. It has been pretty rough the past few years. Ã‚Â :rolleyes

How is everyone here on HD. I donÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t see to many on here besides gofastracer and Big Dog. How have you two been. I hope that you all have been well.

Well I just bought this little 1985 Daytona. The guy has had it for nine years in his garage and started to restore it and got the new floor in it then got married and the restore stopped :laugh

anyway it is a long story. But I bought it Monday the floors look real good and he said that it would run. The gelcoat is in real good condition and it needs seats and upholstery, carpet and a new steering wheel. I got it running today after checking everything out. Found that the plug wires were all in the wrong spot :rolleyes

. But it sounds real good for being sitting for years.
I am going to upgrade the distributor to a electronic ignition as the one that is in it is a duel point Mallory Ã‚Â :laugh

Ã‚Â also put a single poll alternator in it. Probably some other stuff but for now that will be good to go to the river.

Hey Rod, yeah been out here for 8 yrs now and 3 back surgeries but all good now, sold all the boats and now have a cruiser Spectra20, was an I/O and got rid of that and a friend put in 4 stringers in and it's like a new hull now, V-Drive will be going in and should be able to start on it in by October, should be done for next summer. :good

Yeah, it pretty much happened overnight. We came here on vacation 2 years ago, saw the home prices and made an offer. It took 2 trips to get all of our crap here, but we stopped at the river for 4 days on our second trip. :good

Our dream was to leave California but we didn't expect it to happen so quickly and to move so far. We miss family and friends, but we still visit and our quality of life has improved greatly. Did I mention that gas is usually under $2 a gallon here? :rotflmao

Yeah it is amazing on how fast your life can change by one thing. I am happy for you but it does suck not see family when you would like to. But again sometimes you need a break.

very nice. Looks like a little bit of work but should be well worth it. :good

Been trying to get my dads '76 ranger mini cruiser that's sitting in the garage. hasn't seen water in about 13 years. It's in great shape with a 351w with an OMC stringer outdrive. Will need a little love but well worth it as well.
