Hello everyone. Ok it's confermed. I got the river house for the dates of Thursday Oct 16th to Sunday Oct19th 2003. Looks like I will have two beds available for first come first serve couples. The cost for the 3 days will be $50 a person. Tons cheaper than staying in a hotel and plus the river house is 20ft from the river! I can have a maximum of about 12 people not including my friends, myself and my brother. So if your interested e-mail me at riverratmike@npgcable.com or just respond here on this thread. we got accomidations(sp?) for that op6 thing already but we're definantly looking forward to hanging at the sandbar with you and heather and the crew again.

Think I'll do this stereo set up again at the river house. Using a HP computer Pentium 3 with over 1000 mp3's to choose from. Kinda like a musical jukebox. Worked out great over Labor Day weekend and everyone liked the idea.

To be honest with you Mike there is some truth to that.

One time along time ago I charged someone to stay at my house becuase it was kind of a friend of a friend dealio and I didn't really want him to go. More or less I told him that if he kicked up 100.00 in the beer kitty he'd be more then welcome to go..

The problem that I ran into that weekend was a thing called "implied rights." The guy was being kind of a prick etc... and when I called him on it he said "Hey man I paid 100 bucks to stay here, I'm just here to have a goodtime etc.." blah blah blah.. It occurred to me that if you actually "charge" someone then there more apt to treat you & your place more like a "rental" then they are a guest.

Now Days, it's just not worth it for me to put up with the avg Joes... If there not "good people" then they can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned.

I will definately do that! Linda and Jason are "good people" so I don't think you'll have any worries in that regard.. I was just kinda sharing my experience is all.

Just so ya know, I do plan on taking you up on your offer of 50.00 @ some point in the future! It'll be nice to goto someone elses house for a change.. Especially staying right on the river.

Do you know if you'll have it on ThanksGiving weekend? They always do the Speed Ski races on that weekend, and your house would be A GREAT vantage point!!
