A recent thread got me thinking. About Racism. Well let me start off by saying that I am no angel I have made a racist slur a time or two. But I try to judge people for who they are.

Well to back to the point. When I was at OP6 I overheard some people from the boards talking about another board member and saying that he was a Mexican (in a derogatory way).  It turned out that the person they were talking about is a member that I really like and think is a really good guy. So there comments really bothered me. Their shortsightedness could not see past the ethnic differences.  Its pretty sad that we cannot get over these stigmatisms.

I guess I have made the same mistakes in the past. Anyway I guess that is enough of my rambling. I guess I never had a point. Is today over yet?

I am Japanese and Polish and hear plenty of slurs thrown my way all the time.  Most of the time I just let it go but every now and then some stupid comment will just erk the hell out of me so I can completely understand why some people may have been offended.  This is not to say that I am not guilty of making racial comments in the past too but...uhhhh, what was my point?? :stupid  :stupid  :drink Oh, I know...Miller19j, I'm with you, is this day ever going to end???

I am an odd breed, thats for sure.  My dad is Polish and 6'4", about 280 lbs and my mom is 100% Japanese and 5' tall on a good day.  They are a funny couple.  My dad calls me a Po-Jap.  :rotflmao  :rotflmao

hey now that I think about it, there were only 3 male Mexicans that I know of at op6....

Whipped Caliber, Kilrtoy (which I dont even think he is mexican) and Myself!

WTF Point them out Miller so some heads can role!!  :angry  :angry  :comp  :D
