Ok as most of you know I'm a huge weather nut. Especially lightning. I was watching a video I took at the river house back on Nov 29th 2002 with my two younger brothers, when a close lightning bolt stuck and very loud thunder. I laugh every time I listen to us after the strike. It's a 1.83M file. Caution there is some language in it. Lightning And Thunder - Parker Strip Nov 29th 2003

That's what happened to my free angelfire account once I got on the boards and mentioned it in the threads. :rotflmao

For 1 month, I paid them something like 6 bucks for extra bandwidth, storage, and no pop-ups. Before I was billed for the second month, I switched my site over to JNJhost to plan for the future.

yeah Angelfire isn't that good when it comes to excessive bandwidth usage. At least my account is free and they allow up to 6MB of storage. Better than nothing I guess.

Ok this one takes the cake. This strike couldn't have been more than 200ft from me. The closest I have ever been to lightning before. I just love this one. Once any bad language in the audio. Watch the light from the lightning on the palm tree. You'll get the idea on how close it was to me.Very Very Very Close Lightning (Video)

That was pretty good lightning is definetly cool.Been through a couple good tropical storms in Fla few years back big storms that bring the lightning right to your door thunder shakin the whole house very intense kinda glad we dont get em like that here in Nor Cal.

Nice Videos :good

Brings back memories of about 6 years ago when I lived in Las Cruces, NM and was sitting on the front poarch during a lightning storm. Lightning hit the tree in my front yard and knocked me off the chair I was sitting in. After I calmed down and stopped shaking (It scared the piss out of me) I went right back to watching it. I love lightning/thunder storms! :jumpie

Don't get too many of them up here in NorCal though...

Wow your super lucky! Sounds like that strike was much closer to you than the one 200ft from me at the river. I would have loved to experianced getting knocked out of a chair from lightning!! Just as long as it didn't hurt me. :good
