I've seen a couple Vectors with turbo motors, but this one comes sans power plant.

Ski racers are out of their gord.  The fastest I've gone is about 50 mph, and I about shit my pants.

Hey Sleek, I saw that thing listed over at HotBoat a couple weeks ago.  ZERO REPLIES.  Wonder why.  A Vector with twin turbo's is just stupid, and by stupid I mean bad ass :D Isn't he asking like 45K for that thing less motor?  Your not far away from a new one a that price :stupid

I guess I missed it on HB.  Can you still by a Vector???  

I would guess that 45K for an engine-less boat is a little high.  

I looked at one in Havasu a couple years ago, same set up, twin turbo BB chevy, and I think they were asking around 35K.... I didn't buy that one either. :D

OK, I just went and looked, new Vectors start at 41K for at 350/Bravo I.

Hey Sleek, Here's the specs from his add:

1995 vector,3a drive,torque flight trans,set up for ski racing/flamily ski boat. Has back seat. Nerver raced. Was a family ski boat selling less motor. Featured in hot boat magazine as hot boat of the month. GT Performance rigged the boat. Very Very clean. Tripple axle trailer. All reasonable offers considered. Will sell with New twin turbo fuel injected motor asking 55,000 for motor. makes 1500hp+. All parts are new.

So maybe he isn't asking 45k for the hull.  Rigged by GT though so it's probly got some nice components.  Vectors are my favorite all time boat

If I don't watch out she's going to make me less something :beat

I skied a few times at 55-60 and it does get a little hairy on a slalom ski. I also skied at 60+ on an old Andy Clark drag ski now thats a whole different deal, pretty stable.

A friend of mine is a ski racer and I hate pulling him skiing! It just doesn’t feel natural to pull a skier that fast. I can’t imagine how it would feel to be the skier!   :eek

That is what it says, isn't it.  55K for a motor.  :eek, we are now officially out of my price range.  :D

Using quick math (and if he's asking 45K for the boat), thats a cool tenth of a million.

I imagine though that if the asking price for the motor is 55K, the price for the boat itself has got to be up there.  

It would be interesting to see what he would sell the hull for.   :stupid
