News Flash
Vehicle crashes off Golden Nugget parking garage
A vehicle has crashed through a concrete wall on the fourth floor of the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino parking garage in downtown Las Vegas. The car landed on its roof in the lot below. Two people are confirmed dead.

Got this off the Review-Journal ( www.reviewjournal.com )website after talking to my mom this evening.  Evidentally an elderly couple were leaving the lot and crashed through the concrete wall and down into the alley below.  

Now, to be a total smart ass... The Golden Nugget validates parking so you don't have to take such drastic steps to avoid paying.   :rolleyes

Here's an update on our intrepid pilot.

From the article, and talking to a few pilot I know down there, sounds like he let it get slow during his base to final turn and spun it in.  

All kidding aside though, this guy is in pretty rough shape it sounds like.  Most people don't live to long after something like this, hope he makes it through.

Hope the guys pulls through, I find it amazing when people survive any plane crash. My Pops was friends with that United DC-10 pilot that piled up that plane(the one that lost the hydraulic systems) in I think it was in Kansas City area. :eek

Capt. Al Haynes (I think that right), and it was Souix City, Iowa, but Kansas City is close enough.

I just read a news story that said he has spent most of his retirement and personal savings on cancer treatment for his daughter.   :(
