Well, concidering I didn't have nearly enough debt... I bought a boat.

That's right, Sleek-Jet has gone to the dark side and bought himself a V-Drive cruiser.

A 1975 Campbell Daycruiser to be exact. Thanks to BBT for getting me in touch with Calhotboat. :beer

Sooo.... Does anyone know how to run these things?? :stupid

Yep, it's the one in Clear Lake, Dave went and checked it out for me today and said it was a pretty solid old boat, just needs a little TLC. Ã‚Â Got a killer price on it also. Ã‚Â :good

Dave is pretty good about boats and knows what he's talking about with them. He's been around them for MANY years and knows quite a bit about both Jets and V-Drives. If he says it's a good deal, it's more than likely a pretty good deal

While it was fun owning a cruiser like that for a few days, I had to pull the plug on the deal.

I never really had a good feeling about it, and this was turning into one of the worst deals I've ever done. Nothing was going right with it, and that put my out of my comfort zone. No problem on the sellers part, just me I guess.

It was just one thing after the other...

But what finally did it was I screwed up the cashiers check for the deposit on the boat. I just kinda had a knot in my gutt from the beginning... one thing I've learned is if a situation doesn't feel right, it probably isn't. I don't need sleepless nights over a boat.
