I was thinking it's riding a little wet.. going to put the 2 blade on and take it to Saguaro on Saturday and see what it does with that prop before I send it out and get it worked over.  :D

You'll lose some on the bottom end though!. Be interesting to see what the 2 blade does but I think you'll be happier with the 3 blade, just need to get it tuned up a bit!.. :good  :good

Initially, it was running right at 70 with the 2 blade and 39 gears when the v-drive was junked out.  The three blade wouldn't break 60.  Now I'm running 70+ with the 3 blade so we'll see what happens.

I'm also working on a new smaller pulley for the blower.  27T that will overdrive it 11% and go from there.

Do you think it's that wet because it's not running fast enough or should I be looking at the cav plate adjustment?

Jordy there are lots of secrets to a v drive to make fater by just set up.I learned some stuff last year but not everything.I am sure there is a difference between a flat and a v though.I know on the flat a plate adjustment helped me out as well as shortening the shaft.Both these things got the boat riding higher.Almost a liitle too high actually.

I don't know, maybe I'm just partial to having only the back 3' or so of the boat in the water.  It still looks to me like it's running wet.  get it to where only the rear 3' of it is in the water and I can guarantee ya it will be considerably faster :eek  :D
