Did ya get in touch with HTM, Doug? |
No I didn't and mainly because I didn't want to commit and end up flaking on him.  Hopefully I will see them tomorrow. |
So Doug, did you go to the lake today??   |
No I didn't. I stay up too late, so I got up too late.  Also, I have no problem launching the boat by myself on a weekday, but wasn't looking forward to it on a weekend while I was responsible for my little girl. |
You could always do what my dad did... teach her to run the boat.   I was taking the boat on and off the trailer at 10 (when my parents got divorced, I couldn't reach the pedels in the truck to drive it.  )
You know, I just thought about the age requirement for operating a boat.  What is it California??  In the wilds of Colorado and Utah we never got hasseled. |
I think it's age 12 here, but I'm not sure. The dock at the ramp that I would have used is too tall for me to tie up to. The boat just drifts underneath it. Therefore, I have to cruise it over to the beach while I leave my truck on the ramp. I don't mind doing that when there's no one there, but on a busy day it's a different story.
