Jim at Performance Jet rebuilt it and did some mods that were supposed to increase thrust by about 15%. Now if I could just keep it runnin  I could see if it works any better.
I was lookin at those pics of yer boat and it has a nice set to it.
Got anymore info on the diverter, I haven't heard alot of good about the one Panther offers. Not enough range in the change of angles, more down than up I hear. |
Apparently Kevin, the only folks who make a diverter for Panthers is Panther Marine themselves up in Oregon and A.D.M. Boatworks.
I've heard the same thing about the diverter that Panther Marine makes, very little up and lots of down.
I've emailed A.D.M. Boatworks and the one they make is supposed to be the trick unit with an all new exit housing.
I was quoted $1850.00 parts and labor for their Jetavator.
Or, if I just want them to go through and rebuild the stock unit is $700.00 parts and labor.
Here's A.D.Ms. website http://www.admboatworks.com/index2.htm
and this is their email response.
Good morning,  The average cost of a normal rebuild is about $250.00 parts and $350.00 labor, this includes the r&r of the pump from the boat. The ADM/Place Diverter with manual control is $1850.00. This includes the ADM  remote s/s steering tube & a small rudder. We hope this is what you're looking for to better performance of your boat. The hydraulic kit with a toggle switch adds another  $150.00 Thanks for asking about the ADM Place Diverter .  DON  sales@admboatworks.com |
Dang, sure glad I got a v-drive, couldn't afford a ditch pump, it only costed $180 to rebuild my v-drive!..
