I have a stupid computer question that I'm hoping someone can help me with....

Can you be connected via cable AND be connected via dial up at the same time?  Or can you be connected by only one at a time?

I can connect via cable right now at my hotel room, but I can not connect to my company's internal network via this cable modem.  So I connected via dial up, but I noticed it slowed me down DRAMATICALLY.  Help...  :break

No, it's one or the other! As for dial up being slow, that is normal.

Use the cable modem, dial up stinks.  Depending which version software you are using, you may have to reset your IP

I tried that... My company doesn't trust us out on the road with Administrative rights to our laptops.... Hmmm, I wonder if they are worried that we will end up on a web site where adult content might take place?    ;)  

Which reminds me... the LasVegasHotBoats (I think that's the name) is blocked for adult content on my computer.   :laugh   I actually have a report that says that.
