I don't know about Christmas parties, but I understand there is going to be something happening around the end of January at the LA Boat show...

Hey Doug,
Just a thought. We're having our annual party to coincide with the Kansas City Boat show. It you have a lot of members that go to the LA boat show, its a great way to kill 2 birds with one stone. Plus if you get enough interest, all of a sudden the boat show coordinators take notice, and start coming up with things like free tickets etc. etc.

I'm sure the LA boat show is a little bigger than the KC one, but when they found out we were bringing about 200 members with us, they suddenly became real friendly!!!!

Last year, the LA Boat Show was a combined event with one of our member's birthdays. :good

Some of us DID get into the show for free as we established connections. :good

The main board presence in the LA area is Hot Boat and Off Shore Only, while a bunch of those members, also, belong to the smaller boards like this one. What ended up being the party crew of the show consisted of a group of us that belonged to around 8 different boards. :eek
