If ya ever get tired of the PD down south, Sacramento County Sheriff is hiring.  They can't get enough applicants right now.  Their website is at http://www.sacsheriff.com
One of My nephews just got hired by them and starts POST next week, and another of my nephews is moving up here from Lake Elsinore this weekend and he's gonna apply with the Sac Sheriff also.....Says there's no jobs down in SoCal :confused  and anxious to get to work after just getting out of the Marines after a 4 year stint

Congratulations.  It looks like you will make it.   :jumpie
I don't like to say that too soon because, as you have seen, recruits fail out of the academy even at the very end.  I planned on going to your graduation, but will be snowboarding with the kids at Lake Tahoe that week.

Welcome to the sworn ranks and keep your head down.  You now have a long list of enemies simply because of your profession. :guns

You bragged a little on earlier threads that ours is one of the finest departments.   This is true, and I hope you keep it in mind after about 2 years or so in the jail.   Be patient and the time will come and you'll be on the roads.  It will be worth the wait.

Congrats Dave...it will be the greatest feeling...I remember it when I graduated from boot camp. I went to my first fire academy graduation last friday...two of the guys got droped just three days before...hang in there.

Thanks, my graduation party is this Friday at the Marriot Hotel. A bunch of us got rooms too. It's going to be a blast.
