We all visit this site because it lacks the drama and winebags that frequent so many of the other boating related sites that. I am one of the guys that has never met our gracious host but I feel like I have known him for some time now, he is a genuine caring guy that put this site together for the right reasons, fun and the love of the River. If you ask him for help with something he lends a hand without even thinking twice. I mentioned to him once that I wanted to buy some of his stickers, he told me nope, not gonna sell 'em to you, I'll send 'em too you gratis, which ones do you want? What a great guy he is. I hope that I can meet him on the water this summer, I feel that I need to buy him a beer and thank him for being "Havasu Doug"...

RIVER! If you have to ask you wont understand...

Thanks for your nice comments.  You don't have to buy me a beer, but if you do, I will gladly take it. :beer  :rotflmao

Honestly though, what fosters this kindness is you guys.  When this board began, the original members were not really sure how it would develope.  We were all Hot Boat veterans as a matter of fact.  :drama   The board developed a "no drama" feel to it very soon as a result of how everyone posted though.  Even guys that were dramatic on Hot Boat posted in a friendly manner here. :)  So you guys have made this place what it is and have encouraged everyone to keep this place cool. :cool So of course, it's my pleasure to help anyone out here in any way I can. :)

When I met Doug he was shorter than I'd envisioned :laugh . I guess many are to me :p    But otherwise a gracious and thoughtful man. His generousity is unequalled. I'm happy to call him a friend and hopefully the feeling is mutual.
Barry, picture Ari and you would be able to pick Doug out of the police lineup...

Doug, you should know...I'm selling may daughter's dirt bike (she has a new one)

When I asked her if she'd miss it she said,"Nope, just the sticker" (we had matching HDF "Redondo Crew" stickers)

not to worry, I had a spare hidden away for just that reason!
And I can't buy that either.
