We were in parker this weekend and met a new couple and there kids. so far so good , we catch a ride to roadrunner for drinks and munchies, still good. We hop back in there boat and head back into some wind and chop, this is where it goes bad. full throttle somewhere around 80ish, this guy is a stranger to me in a boat , the wife is in fear for her life and our kid is in the boat, I'm not so happy any more. :angry  :angry


Anyone else have it happen, and how did you handle it?? :confused

all is well on our end, but I made it clear we will be taking another route to any other event, I tried not to make a big deal around the kids, But I did tell my boy he can't ride in there boat!! And thats to bad because the kids love swapping boats for rides :confused

Seems like a pretty clear case of showing off to the new buddies.  I haven't had that happen with complete strangers, but have had to remind friends to keep it in the water with kids on board.

Sounds like he was trying to be Mr Macho, my friend "Mr Nitrous" is the same way :beat I don't ride with him in any vehicle. Standard conversation goes, him "Come on I'll drive"   me "Fock no!!!" :eek  :laugh

80+ mph on the river, with kids.... :eek   Of course, every one had a life jacket on, right... :rolleyes

Gotta know 'em before I ride....just me.... :cool
