And here I thought setting fires and making hot air balloons out of dry cleaner bags, balsa wood, and birthday candles was bad. テつOh, come to think of it, I did go through a 900 grain black powder cannon stage too. テつThen there was the phase when I ripped apart my RC car and used the throttle control to energize a thin wire wrapped around the fuse of a crushed Picalo Pete so I could detonate remotely. HeHeHe! |
My friend across the street had a big ornamental rock in his back yard that was the testing place of our explosive devices. Well this thing started to look like the Gaza strip after a few years of out demolitions testing. One day we decided that the goal was to blow it up. I took about three years to do it but we finally did. We made a pipe bomb out of 2 inch steel pipe that was about a foot long and buried it under the rock. We had it wired to a rocket engine igniter and about 25 feet of cord. We put on our skateboard helmets and hid under a metal trash can (safety first) and set that thing off. テつBoooom! The rock flew into the air and came down in several pieces and alarms from all the houses in the neighborhood were ringing. The cops and the fire department were driving up and down the street for about and hour trying to figure out what happened.
I am surprised that I lived through my childhood. |
I'm surprised you lived through it too! Childhood memories are cool. That's why I digged the show "The Wonder Years". I can visualize your story right now, with the helmets and trash cans!
