We don't do Holidays at the river either.

We're both working instead, and heading in for the first trip in 2 weeks.I have to build a sign for Boat Cop.
Selfishly, we hope that high gas prices causes many to shoot their wad on the Holiday,, and maybe their'll be fewer people over the summer.

ill be @ topock all weekend on the water out of moabi then up to needles and down to the sandbar #2 probably on a beach some where.i usually look for hdf decals. unles there are other distraction ie pasties. :jumpie  :jumpie

It's a dudes trip so it should be fun. We usually find a place to hang out and stay there most of the day. None of the driving around shit. That's how you run into the crazies out there.

When it's a family trip I do not take them. Cannot find a place where you can hang out in peace.

Make that three for Topock. :beer I've been lurking for a while but haven't posted much. We have a trailer in Golden Shores (Topock) we stay at. I really like Havasu so most of the time we drive to Havasu and launch from there. We'll be hanging around the sandbar (regular sandbar is closed right?), the channel, or waterski cove. Look for a 21' all white Yamaha with green bimini and stop by to say hi and grab a drink. We'll have our 4 year old and Mastiff puppy with us so we can't get to crazy but It'll still be a blast. We need to make more friends that are willing to go to the river. It takes three to ski. Most of our friends are wrapped up in off-road toys.

Yes the regular sandbar should be closed. There should be plenty going on on the little sandbar south of "The Sandbar" by a few minutes of travel.
