Anyone have a passenger like that?

Last year we took our neighbors with us to Martinez, the perfect family, Father, Mother, and 2 kids, (I'm their sons godfather), anyhow, it's 105 outside and my family is ready to head out for a great day on the water, we get about 5 minutes north of the launch ramp and I look over my shoulder to look at my little river virgins, I want to see how they're reacting to their first trip to the river with us, the father is smiling from ear to ear having a great time, the daughter is very content sitting next to dad, my godson is telling me faster, faster and I look at the wife and she is white knuckling it, scared to death, I sloweed down so I could find out if everything was okay, I ask her if she is afraid, she tells me that I'm going to fast. I know for a fact that I wasn't going over 3500rpms which is probably between 35 - 38 mph, I ended up having to go a lot slower the remainder of the day just to keep her happy. I must admit that when they came to us on Sunday morning and said that they were heading home early the wife and I weren't disapointed, Sunday was a great day for us on the water without the little crybaby along...

Oh man....I can relate!!

Which story you want to hear? They all start out pretty much like yours. Everyone ready for fun fun fun except that ONE! :banghead

How about the time my son-in-law came along and was arguing non-stop with my step daughter? :fight

He was pissed about everything...some guys whistled at her at the sand bar :rolleyes

he wanted to fight them....pure joy.

He ended up getting so falling down drunk he passed out in the boat. :drink

That's when we all relaxed and had fun......til he puked his guts out :puke

(at least it went overboard!

Get In, Sit Down, Shut Up, and Hold On....... There have been a few times that I have taken people out the weren't really comfortable riding in the boat for the first little bit, but once they appeared to be riding a little easier, then I'll speed up a little at a time.....

We used to take a family with us that had a rough and tumble son that freaked just starting the boat, let alone getting underway.
Funny way they handled it was by putting a towel over his head. :stupid

For whatever reason that shut him up and once back at idle speed they'd take the towel off. :rotflmao

His 2 sisters dug it and wanted more speed.

This one time I took a group of friends to the lake, and this one guy wanted us to call him by a different name every couple hours...

Hey Joe... then... Hey Bernie.... then... Hey George....

It was kind of annoying...

Geez, can't some people just pick a name and stick to it. :stupid

We were boating off Catalinas east end lite and one goofy chic kept insisting the seals sunning on the beach were all dead.
She was driving everyone crazy with her insistance.

Seals barely move when they sleep.
Everything was nomal.

She was so annoying we put her on the Green Pier and then went back and spent a peacefull day back where we were without her.

Oh, man. OP6C-8. We took two river virgins that we went to high school with. He was a fuddy duddy and she was an obnoxious party animal. They were moving to Oregon the following month and spent the whole weekend preaching to everyone how they should all move because So Cal was doomed. We are going to run out of water. This is going to be a wasteland and anyone who stays will be living in the Mohave desert within the next 5 years. She didn't really want to move, but she was a stay at home mom, cooped up (that's why she was such a party animal) and did whatever her husband told her to do. She even called him "daddy." That was really bazaar t me. :puke

She would make everyone do cheers with her "CHEERS!!! WE'RE MOVING TO OREGON!!!!" She would yell at the top of her lungs (our boat's not very big). Finally, I told her she was giving me a headache by yelling in my ear. What does this obnoxious bitch do? Literally yells in my ear "CHEERS!!! WE
'RE MOVING TO OREGON!!!!" I was pissed.

Then, we get back to the trailer and are burnt out on these folks and they want to go out to dinner and the casinos. We try to opt out, but they are insitent. Then Jeff gets insistent back. We can't get service for a taxi and don't want to wait an hour to 90 minutes for dinner, so we just want to do a frozen pizza and hang out on the patio (we're old, I know

). But she will NOT let it go and goes into this tirade about how Jeff needs to lighten up, and how this is the last time we might see them (because they are moving to Oregon) and he is ruining their trip, yada yada yada and not very quietly in front of the restaurant at Katherine Landing. Then he is pissed. They go ahead to the casinos and we go to bed. They leave the next morning and move a couple of weeks later. She has called me several times, and I thought about calling her back, but then realized I didn't really want to talk to her, so I didn't.

Oh, I forgot to mention what bigots they were. Some folks pulled up in a boat while we were in Gasoline Alley and after a while I ended up on their boat and she eventually followed me over. Later, she tells her husband, in a hushed tone, how she had been on a "black" boat. I told her it wasn't black, it was yellow. I guess I didn't know them very well at all. Good riddance.

I have one girl who is into me but is stuck in the "friends" mode, pretty comical really as she's one of the youngest 25 year olds, who live in an apartment, that I've ever met. She doesn't like going fast, but keeps ending up in my boat, which likes to cruise at 90. She freaks out, grabs my arm, the whole 9 yards. Dealt with that for a while. Coming back isn't as bad as going out as she's usually drunk and has no idea what is going on, so I can run 100+ mph and she doesn't know the difference because her head is down.

The best part of everything is her insistance on how we're just "friends" yet she can, with her friends, watch me blow through a couple hundy putting gas in the boat, not filling it up mind you, just putting gas in the boat, then another $80 filling up the truck, and then another $90 or so because they didn't want to drink beer that day and wanted Bahama Mamas and Rum Runners as well as all kinds of food. So I'm about $400 into the day and I get about $14 from the 2 girls in my boat. It would be one thing if I was banging one, dating one, getting oral favors from one, and I'm sure it will end up that way and then end up very badly after that. Way too much drama around this kid. I go to the lake to have fun...

I took a bunch of people out a couple years ago. We planned on taking turns on the boat while the other enjoyed the beach. Found out when we got there, the boat decided not to run that day. While most of us decided to make the best of it and have a little party on the beach, one couple gives a disgusted look and declares "we're outta here, we just cam to ski...this is bullshit". The rest of us had a great day anyway, and that couple could never understand why they weren't invited back no matter how many hints they dropped.

Okay I'll play. My girl friend at the time had a friend that asked us to come out and join them (her and her mom) in Laughlin. She got us a comp room so that was cool but the next day she says, "bring your water ski my mom pulls all our friends and is the best driver around". I figure cool, sounds like a fun day. We get to the river and go to load the boat. She's got a tri hull with a 70hp OB on it. I say there's no way that thing is going to pull me out of the water. So after a little dragging behind this P.O.S. we decide to empty the boat except for the driver and I drag back and forth in front of the casinos half a dozen times. Needless to say no go. Went home a little water logged and with longer arms. No harm no foul, it was worth a try. So, the friend is at our house and I say come on I'll take you to the lake and we'll do some skiing. Now here's the good part, the chick dives on the floor of the boat every time the boat planes. She says I'm scaring her and her Mom is a very good driver but, she doesn't trust anyone else and I drive too fast. The same mom that tried to pull me without an observer. Whatever, we get to a beach throw her out and go ski for a couple hours. When we're ready to load up she jumps up on the painted bow of my boat with muddy sandals and walks across the bow. My dad thought I was going to blow up. We just looked at each other and shook our heads. She says oh did I get your little boat dirty? I said no but you just scratched the shit out of it. So I get out of the boat and clean the mud and crap off of the paint. I get her seated and floor it 400hp of Olds power blasting through 1-2' chop all the way back to the ramp. I thought she was going to shit herself. It was great. Now I own a boat where you could shit on the bow and I wouldn't care. Actually itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s an open bow and I might care then but anyway. My old boat was an 18Ã¢â‚¬â„¢ Horizon jet with a 455 olds and painted graphics. She never got another invite from me again. At least she didnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t puke on the way back. Ah, the memories. :bebe

Our river trips usually involve more than the immediate family, which is great; the more the merrier.

A couple of years ago, we invite part of the family who have 2 grown boys. Ã‚Â The boys tell their friends, who tell their friends, etc.....we're on the beach and here comes 20 some people.... :eek

Ã‚Â Nice bunch of kids, all in all. Ã‚Â We have 3 boats, so all is fine.

One of the "new found friends" was named George. Ã‚Â He's in his mid-twenties, all pierced and tatted, carries a bottle of JD around all day, just drinking it straight.

We'll, George comes up after a few hours of hanging on the beach and says, "I got some friends coming down a little later, can we get a ride to Copper Canyon..??". Ã‚Â I politely stall him with some lame excuses like "I need to take the kids tubing", "the boat's been acting up", "maybe later", etc.

"No problem" says George. Ã‚Â He and his G/F start down the beach, hitting up everyone for a ride.... :rolleyes

Ã‚Â Sure enough, he gets a ride from two guys with a nice deckboat.

About 1/2 hour later, here comes the rest of his possee, including 3 or 4 beautiful ladies with perfect bodies, tan, thongs....and 2 guys with all this GEAR in Anvil cases. Ã‚Â I'm sayin'...."WTF".... :banghead

Well, it turns out that "George" is a MILLIONAIRE from running PAY FOR VIEW Internet sights, largely feeding content out of Hawaii to Japan, China, etc., at $6.99 a MINUTE.... :eek

They were going to Copper to video the girls doing "what they do best". Ã‚Â Didn't see them the rest of the day, but we did see the guys with the deckboat much later that evening.

They had the BIGGEST smiles on their faces that I have ever seen.... :laugh
