Just a reminder that the Ambulance/Wheelie Car episode of the Monster Garage premieres tonight at 8 PM on the Discovery Channel.  It looks like it will be a good one as usual. :D

I'd really like some of those freebies...  aluminum Edelbrock heads, 20" and 22" wheels and tires... all that shiznit from Jegs...  notice they had to pay for the Casale box... funny how those boat guys are.  :D

It's one of my favorites too. :cool  I've seen many references to it on the OP6 board and on hotboat so we figured it would be a hit here as well.  I took Neidermeyer for several reasons.  First of all, we share the same first name.  Secondly, he's kind of like an authority figure with no real authority and, consequently, the butt of jokes by the others.  Evidently I can be a real ass at work and my employees think this title is fitting for me. :rotflmao  I realize it's not a cool title, but that's OK. It's all in good fun. :)

Yeah, it appeared that Jesse put alot of time into that for the end results.  I think those vehicles must look better from a distance anyway.  They show them up close all week long and, as cool as they are, they still look very unfinished on the last day.  They throw on some cool wheels, show some guy with paint equipment for 2 seconds, and it's suddenly kick ass at the very end.  Have you noticed that though? It seems like the shots are usually a lot wider at the end of the show.  I love it anyway! :cool

Did you catch the part where he came rolling in from the challenge with the hot air baloon when the wheeie ambulance was being built???  Kinda makes you wonder about the time frame on a lot of these deals.  Not to mention the fact that from the very first shot of the ambulance on the lift, it had the wheels and tires, but then they showed them rollin' in later on.  Guess I must be a little bit pickier than the editing staff...  :D

It's like someone coming into my shop and wanting me to build them a moped.

Jesse on the PT Cruiser challenge.  

It was actually a pretty funny episode and the car came out looking pretty sweet in the end... guess a couple thousand dollars in 20" wheels and tires and a $5000+ paint and prep job will help that out.   :D

I am no paint expert but they put about four or five different coats of base coat on all of those cars and then put graphics on and then a top coat. That has to take more than and evening. I took me a complete weekend to paint my trailer and I only used Primer and Paint.

But is is still a cool show.
