On this day 62 years ago Operation Overloard began. By June 11 1944, of the (approx) 326,000 men who had landed, (approx) 155,00 were wounded, 18,000 were missing, and 53,000 were dead. So we could all stay free.

Think about it alot this time of year. My F-I-L was in a sub off the coast of France during this time.......
Appropriately, he passed 16 yrs ago on June 14th, Flag Day.

Definately a different sense of patriotism back then.  Bring back the old days and the old ways.
