Just saw on HB that the lake is down 4'-6' as the search for the missing person continues....caution at the launch ramps especially.... :eek

Wow, that is down a lot, guess all the big ballers are wishing that they had that old metal flake jetboat right about now... :D

The Ultra Regatta is this week-end, I believe... :stupid

I need to check the flow numbers to see if it's on the Parker side or the Needles/flow-in side....could be both... :eek

Thanks for the tip Shue. I'll be launching up river in Needles and if they've reduced the flow that's a good thing to know.

It must be a heart wrenching time for the family. I hope they resolve this fast. :peace

Looked a couple feet lower than normal last weekend too. Erie feeling cruising the lake knowing someones loved one is still missing there....

The flow reports look the same for mid-day, so Needles should be fine....just alot lower overnight... :eek

Yea, I hope they find him for the families closure as well... :(

Looks like the lake might be back up a few feet by the week-end.  Lots of big boats launching on Saturday at Windsor.  It's a real pisser when your trailer goes off the edge... :eek

The dilemma for me is, "do I tell the kids"....??  We arrive Sunday afternoon.

The accident was at the top of the lake, and that's where we go alot to play & float.  Best I can do, I figure, is tell them that we have to use Cat-Tail due to the low water, and NOT explain why.... :rolleyes

They will totally  :eek out on me otherwise...

Especially the youngest nephew....he still asks if there's SHARKS in the lake... :eek somebody told him there was.... :rolleyes

It's taken years to get him at ease with the water.
He wouldn't jump off the side of the boat, just slip in off the stern and hold on to something.
Now he's wake-boarding, so his fears are replaced with fun.  :cool

He will be out there, floating fine after a crash, waiting for the rope to come around, and start shouting "Hurry up Uncle, I feel something on my leg!!"..... :beat

I thnk I'm being played... :laugh
