I think I've seen that double back flip of Pastrana's about 10 times now....damn. :eek

And the guys on the skateboards and bikes are unreal. The kid and I are going to the finals tomorrow.......it's a surprise! :D

The day was fantastic. Seats were great, nice and shady all day long. The peeps out in the sun all day got fried.

The really cool thing was that an old man, Jeff Ward, whooped ass in the SuperMoto. That race is tough too! An hour and fifteen minutes of flat out racing through the dirt-whoops, jumps, then on up to the pavement around the stadium. Pastrana crashed from the git go in that one but came back and owned the freestyle.

That kid is nuts. :p

:good I was there too! Had awesome seats in Section 113 right in front of the whoops! Drank lots of beer, it was a bummer that they stopped serving at 2 otherwise we would have stayed to see the bmx. I've never seen so many pro hoes in my whole life. What a riot!
Whenever my laptop comes back from being repaired I'll post some awesome pics!

Did you catch any of the wakeboarding??

They had this motor strapped to the tower of a MasterCraft that drove a pulley that yanked the riders across a big pool. :stupid

I met Travis twice. The first time was at the old Competition Park (remember the Motocross des Nations fiasco? I knew both of the idiot owners as well)  in San Jac in 1998, when I was riding and racing all the time (he was 14 or 15 then, and flat out SPANKED me on that track). The second time was at Lake Elsinore in 2002, when he was first on the 250. I kept up with him for about.....1 corner. Hes a totally cool kid though, and down to earth. I about shit myself when he pulled the double flip....unbelieveable how much talent and cajones he has. -DD
