Maybe this should be the new 'hotboat' web site? I get the feeling HD would be 'fair' and not 'choose sides' when it comes to moderating us....so far he put clothes on the picture Kim posted :rotflmao

Moderators on Hot Boat can be good, but I think that since there are 5 of them, each of them should be people who cover certain area's of the board. For example, get someone who spends a lot of time in the Motor/Gear head area, as well as the Blower section. Someone who is in Stern Drive and Cats and Tunnels, someone who covers Hot Spots west, and hot spots, and someone who covers Hot Spots East and Central. The someone you browses all the sections.

Anyways, I'm not worried, that board was a lot more fun over a year ago, although I have met a lot of cool people through it. I think the threads like "Three Word Posts" "Thursdays Lunch Menu" "Let's talk about Terriorists" You get the idea.....

Anyways, this is my first post on this board, so Hey!

OK, so far, the only thing I have done to a pic was put pasties on Jordy's post.  It is still a VERY hot pic! :D  At the time, I still didn't have any disclaimers or warnings to "guests" of the board.  Jordy and Miller both "reported" each other for being rude, but I didn't do anything since it was more or less a joke. :D

The "(well, almost)" got added to that particular forum AFTER I started a new "member's only" forum that was more appropriate for potentially offensive threads.  Guests can't go there and most of the members know each other already.  I moved one thread there to try it out.  Now it's there for the members to read. :)

Hey Randy, from what I have gathered so far, that is kind of how the breakdown of the moderators is going to be set up.  I know Superdave is going to be running the V-drive forum, but other than that I'm thinking it's still up in the air.  Mike (Rexone) hasn't decided if he wants to do it yet.  Should be interesting, but I don't think it will have a real effect one way or another as I kind of saw this coming with all the naked pics that started to resurface again, even after Erik did a long post about what's acceptable and what isn't.

I agree with Randy...let someone that is fun loving cover the sandbar, a jet tech person cover the jet tech section and so on...we don't need all 5+ moderators in every section. IMHO  :D

Some of them do require a couple moderators based upon traffic, where some can have one moderator to three or four threads, like offshore sport boats? Not the most active area on the board.

Moderators work for free here.  That's why there aren't any. :rotflmao   I'm still trying to figure out how I can make some money with the main site.  Even if I didn't make any $$, it would be nice if it, at least, paid for itself. :D
