Well, Kokomo's is "no mas" I believe....it's Martini Bay now..... :beat  :D

Red Room seems to be the spot lately.....upscale, for sure.... :cool

I think Kokoho's is still there but the old restaraunt and sports bar upstairs is now Martini Bay.
.
RedRoom seems to be where most have gravitated to.
I don't go out and drink much so I haven't got the best advise on this subject.

We went to Chili Charlie's a few week's ago.....talked with the new owners.... :good
Sports Bar type lounge, pool tables/tvs, good Mexican Food, live music planned for the week-ends.... :cool  :beer

I went down to the LB Resort/Channel on Saturday Night about 10:00pm.....three(3), count em, theree(3), people in the outside lounge by the pool.... :eek

This just might add more confusion to this. :rotflmao

  • "Kokomos" was renamed to "Kokomo" (without the "s").  I've got before and after pics to show it. :D

  • "Martini Bay" is the bar located one floor up and to the north and was formerly named the "Bridgewater Lounge" as Ziggy stated.

    I'm curious to follow this thread since I've never been to the Red Room even though it is right next door. :)

    • I miss the Sunday Breakfast Buffet that was in the LB Resort restaraunt....
    Never bought a drink in the Lounge, it seemed to cater to locals more than hotel guests.....Smokey too.
    The MArtini Bay signs are nice looking.

    My observations EXACTLY! :banghead  I went there a few years back and a couple local "escorts" tried to get us to take them on my boat.  I thought that if I did, they would probably try to rob us. :rotflmao  The drunker of the 2 sat on my lap to try to lure me. :rotflmao  We declined, but ran into the 2 at breakfast a couple days later.  This time, they were with clients, but the drunk one was drunk again and telling me how hot I was.  Her boss had to tell her that she was acting inappropriately as they were already with paid clients.  She said "I don't give a $HIT!" :rotflmao

    So I've stayed in the rooms one level up from that place on more than one occasion over the last 10 years.  When karaoke played until 2 AM on Friday and Saturday night, I understood.  But on Sunday through Thursday when Havasu is a ghost town is a different story.  When I complained, I was told that the bar was open until 2 and I had to deal with it. :banghead   The only ones in the bar every night were the same 3 drunk lowlifes and they knew the bartender pretty well. :guns

    I've never been to Red Room, Koka-hoes is ok only during the day to stop in quick for a Tremor (yum :drink )
    I like the Firehouse!  :stupid  Anyone ever been there? Kind of looks divey outside but we had awesome food there and the bar was pretty cool also! Although I usually get so drunk during the day I rarely make it out at night...  :drink

    Going for a Bachelor party this weekend, so maybe we will try the RED ROOM

    I just like going to Kokomo's cause its outside and you dont have to dress all pretty.  

    Oh, and also I like buying 13 dollar tremor cups.

    I thought I'd do a little recon on my own last Saturday night.

    Went To Kokomo first around 10pm. Paid the $5 cover, bought a round, made a lap and just shook my head. Maybe I'm too old at 42, but this place was a joke. Maybe in the day it happened, but on this night, there was nothin' but a bunch of fat chicas and wanna be Metal Millisha (sp) types dancing together, so we bailed.

    Walked over to Martini Bay, hit an outside entrance by the pool, reached over the gate to get in (there was an empty stool) and possibly avoided a cover. Went inside, much more upscale and bought a round. The dance floor was smaller but hopping to late 70's & early 80's tunes. Much better looking crowd and everyone seemed to get along, so we stayed for a few hours dancing the night away. Good times indeed.

    Never made it to the Red Room. I'm not even sure where it is?
