| Quote (Dons_Donzi @ Oct. 06 2006,6:40 am) | so... i wanted a Berkley water blower ( spelling may be off...) but you get the point.. i'd like a nice rooster tail... arent they like hell to manuver at slow speed..? ( jets) i know they are a bit slower (thats what i heard) but... i just like it... i just dont want to have to take one and have the "hook" shaved off and all that... ( gotta find one that's had some money sunk in it...   and make someone an offer...) |
Jets are actually very easy to manuever at slower speeds, any boat that can turn itself around in it's own length is a good thing, easiest boat that I've had to dock and trailer, like anything it just takes a little bit of practice.
Our Carrera is a great solid boat, not something that you can take to Lake Havasu on a busy weekend, it'll kick your ass, trust me, but for Parker and the Lower River were we hang the most it is a great boat, speeds top out at about 57, I added a droop at the beginning of the season and the Roost is awesome. Right now Ultra has a Tom Papp built version of there current 21' deck at there SD showroom, John West says that he'll let it go for $25K, it has a big motor, setback pump, droop, etc..., that's a pretty smokin deal for this particular boat... RIVER! If you have to ask you wont understand...
