It was certainly intimidating at first to get in the water with 20 or 30 of these things swimming around. Jan stayed to the side away from them at first until I coaxed her to try feeding one(squid). They truely are gentile, these particular ones are so accustomed to humans they act more like your pet dog than a wild sea creature, approaching you for attention. Feeding them was trip, they suck in their food with commercial vacume strength, tour guy said be careful not to let your thumb stick out when offering them food Their skin feels soft like a dripping wet chamois, the only part not like that is their spine and tail, the barb is about half way down the tail. These big huge ones we swam with ranged from 2 foot to 4 or 5 feet in diameter, all females. Males do not get much over a foot big.............but I guess(if I heard right) the naturalist told me they have two penis's Ain't life Grand? Treat it that way. The Love of my Life, Jan.
