| Quote (My Man's Sportin' Wood @ Nov. 21 2006,4:10 pm) | LOL, he got home this morning at 7:00.  I haven't let him out of the bedroom because he's been sleeping since he got home   j/k  He has been sleeping though. ÂÂ
The roads are only 8' each lane down there.  The trailer is 8' across exactly and he swerved on the way home to avoid a semi truck (he said it had Wal-Mart on the side  ) and hit a cement gutter, busting the leaf spring and bending at least one axle and buckling the side of the trailer. They limped it into Ensenada last night at 10 and got a room at the Coral.  They weren't too sure what they were going to do.  I have the truck up here and another trailer, but the truck is registered to the business, so we can't take it below the border.  He ended up calling a good friend who lives in SD area.  Him and another buddy came down to Ensenada at 10:30 at night with a trailer, put the buggy on the trailer, rigged the enclosed trailer enough to get it over the border and to South San Diego (where it remains for now), then switched the borrowed trailer onto the truck Jeff ddrove down there and he got home at 7:00 am. ÂÂ
"It's good to have buddies," he says.  I agree. ÂÂ
So he is home with lots of stories to tell.  How about you, Ari?  Did you have a good time? |
Wow, sounds like quite the adventure - you should have called, I would have been more then willing to help out. If you need a place for stuff in the meantime, let me know.
We had a good time down in San Felipe, and considering our team won in the Trophy truck class - that's cool too. Nothing too exciting story wise, our pit was next to the Honda motorcycle guys, so that was pretty exciting. We'll have to catch up soon. Maybe get together when you guys are in San Diego next time.
