In true redneck tradition, I opted for leaving some of the Christmas Lights up all year...  :rolleyes  :good
Got 'em on automatic timers so they light up the front for 6 hours or so... :cool   Red for Valentines, Green for St Patty's, etc.

They were a lil' TOO redneck just leaving them hanging down in full view, so I moved them under the eaves and removed every other light... :stupid
Gives a nice glow to the front.... :love for arriving guests, security, what-knot.... :good  Prolly use less energy than a reg porch light as well... :break

Our's are still up, only cuz it's still winter time, take them down in april, put them back up in oct.

Looks great Shue  :good   good thing it wasn't one of strands that goes dark with a bulb missing :p

They are the "old skool" C9's.... :good

I've got rope lights along the back patio...been up there for 3 years....no probs... :cool  Just enough light to enjoy the evening without getting blinded... :laugh
