Bee-ware Of Cell Phones
USA - Hard to believe, but there’s a new theory out there that explains why honey bees are disappearing by the millions. Some respected scientists say the cell phone may be the primary culprit, ultimately also being responsible for major food shortages, as the world's harvests fail. Why? The radiation given off by the mobile phones and other hi-tech gadgets interferes with the bees' navigation systems, preventing the species from finding its way back to the hives.
Recently, the abrupt disappearance of the bees that pollinate crops has been a huge mystery. The malady is called Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD.) It takes place when the hive's inhabitants suddenly disappear, leaving only queens, eggs and a few worker bees. The problem has now hit half of all American states. The West Coast is thought to have lost 60% of its commercial bee population. Most of the world's crops depend on pollination by bees. Albert Einstein once said if the bees disappeared, "man would have only four years of life left."
A study at Landau University has found that bees refuse to return to their hives when mobile phones are placed nearby. The studies are limited so far, but cell phones appear to be a possible cause.
Could bee...I know it effects people car driving ability
