I scratched up Becks car  :eek with some 1000 grit trying to wetsand some overspray off. Just a couple of test spots but I can't or don't know how to get it to buff out.  :beat Shes ok with it(yeah right) cause it looked bad before but I still think it should buff out better than it has. Guess I should have tried the 2000 :banghead or better yet left it alone :(

Its just 2 small test areas so I'm not totally sleeping on the couch but close :eek

Didja just get the clear coat or did it go through to the color?

If it's still in the clear you could "lightly" hit it with the 2000 and lots of water, followed by a fine compound and then polish....... :rolleyes

If it went through the clear there was next to nothin over it. I can try an get a pic of it :D , it doesn't look near as bad as the boat. :beat

3M heavy duty with a wool pad, then 3m FinessitII with a foam pad....them maybe some finishing glaze by hand...

There are some good tips here but if you've gone thru the clear then you won't get back that shiny luster, lots of wax.

I thought about sanding the whole trunk lid and reclearing it, but this overspray is all over the top surface of the car. Its weird cant see it really :confused  but you can sure feel it when washing it :(

Maybe I'll just mount a big wing on the thing :good  it would hide the spots :D

Maybe repaint the deck lid and add the spoiler :D And the M3 front and rear bumper, oh and body color the side skirts. Oh yeah and get the updated clear lights, lose the yellow. I hate cars :laugh

Well tomorrow is work on car day. New coolant tank and sensor. Need to get the tint on the windows. And work on these scratches.
