Hey guys, whats going on? It's been a very very long time. At least I am still one of the top 10 post whores! lol  :beer

Well if you guys don't know I am in the police academy now for Mesa PD. I only have 4 more weeks Then 17 weeks of field training. ( the academy is 20 weeks long) So my personal life is pretty much messed up till next year. I needed the change in careers, being in the office for the last 10 years wasnt enough for me. I'll tell you even though I am not on the streets yet, it's already a life changing experiance. I guess moving to AZ 3 years ago was a true blessing because if I was still in CA I would probably still be in a cubicle.  :stupid

Mrs Scuba is doing well too.  :good

I hope all of you "old timers" are doing well and hope to see you soon.  :jumpie

Thanks! I get a kick out of watching "The Academy" on Fox Reality. Our academy is like club med compared to the Sheriffs Academy or at least what they show on TV.

Hey, it can't be THAT bad...the one nephew was a pretty soft character, and he made it... :beat   He actually LIKES the starting jail duty... :rolleyes  :D

Was that a dig on your nephew? lol  :D Actually it's not a hard job, you just have to have common sense, be able to learn the law and know how to save your ass (and other officers) when the shit goes down.

I just watched a thing on the North Hollywood bank robbery from 1997, thats was some crazy shiz! Even though I lived in CA at the time, knowing what I know now, I have a different prospective of it.

Too much work? My free weekends will be pretty much done after July 19th. I really don't have free weekends now because I study and stuff but at least I have time to get out locally here and there. lol

Congrats on the move. I'm new to the board. I have a good friend that works at Mesa PD. He graduated last September. He loves it. He is trying to talk me into it. He is doing a pretty good job of it. I'm thinking about taking the physical here pretty soon. Keep it up. :good

Congrats on the career change, Steve.  I'm sure it's going to be much more interesting than sitting in a cubicle. I know first hand that it's rewarding to know that you are moving forward in your life rather than just treading water.
