I just read your right up on the home page Doug.  The part about the Monsoon made me fall out of my chair! Monsoon Huh….Where are you boating India? Lol…. :rotflmao  

Anyway I would write the manager a letter and then follow up with a phone call. Not only is that a pain but it is completely unnecessary. It is much safer to have a trailer tied to a car than on its own. The reasoning does not follow any logic.   :rolleyes

Yes, the reasoning sounds lame, but the signs are still there.  I even took pics of them during the June trip to add to that write up.  I, also, took a pic of my trailer backed over the curb and sitting on the bank as the clerk suggested I do.  They've gotta redo that parking lot period.  Immediately after pulling into it, there is a light pole that you can only go around with a trailer by driving through a marked parking space.  There wasn't much thought used in the design of that lot 30 years ago and nothing has been done about it since then.

Maybe they made the parking lot with stand up jet skis in mind.  :stupid

You should have seen how it was originally written 1 year ago!  I was flat out encouraging people not to go there anymore. :rotflmao  When my site starting getting popular though, I toned it down a bit.  I still share the facts, but let the reader form their own opinion on what to do. :D

Yes Steve, I have a timeshare at the London Bridge Resort.  They are, also, a hotel, but they may have had no availablities when you tried to stay there.  I DID see Queens Bay, though, and was drooling over their parking. :love  It look so much better over there. :D

I guess it was a good I didnt stay on LBR then.  :jumpie

When we were there at Queens Bay, it was kind of weird though, no one was there, we picked up the keys at a managment co. off site, and there was no security, no workers, no nothing. I guess I am used to a hotel atmosphere.

I didnt like one thing there, they said we had to throw out our trash when we left, which was no problem. But I couldnt find the trash dumpster any where on the property.  :stupid

Monsoon season is starting already! I live in LHC, AZ and had about 20 close lightning strikes tonight! It was awesome. Caught a few of the strikes with my video camera. Will try and get some stills of the lightning I taped and post them on the board later. I've been waiting months for the AZ monsoon to start and I think it's finally here! :jumpie

Yeah that lightning is bitchin huh! :D But actually wer'e not in the Monsoon yet, we still havn't averaged 55 degree diewpoint for 3 days in a row. We havn't had any lightning here yet, they've had a little on the Rim country though, enought to start a fire!.. ;)

Its time here in T town, got a nice one last night about 1/4" of rain in about 1/2 hour, big wind and lightning. Maybe Claudette will get them kicking here pretty soon  :jumpie

Although the weather in AZ can probably get rough at times I am sure you don’t have Monsoons. Definition of a Monsoon in the Webster’s dictionary:

Monsoon: A periodic wind episode in the Indian Ocean and Southern Asia, Also: The season of the southwest Monsoon in India and surrounding countries.

I've always understood a monsoon as being a large mass of moist air that lasts for some time and spawns numerous and prolonged rain showers as well as thunderstorms, and is largely seasonal (Mid July till late August here in the Southwest).

Here's a couple of photos of the lightning I captured 7/15. The strikes were about 50 miles away but were very bright!

AZ, I don't think the Monsoons you have been getting are actually Claudet since I am here in the southern most tip of Texas right now (McAllen, TX) and we are only getting wind and light sprinkles (sprinkles for about 30 sec then stops).  The storm is suppose to be right off the coast of where I am.  I'm only about 4 hrs southwest of Corpus Christy where they got nailed pretty bad.  

However, Claudet may be causing your Monsoons.  

I always thought they happened in August at the earliest?  I love your weather.... I'm sooooo jeallous.  :(  Awsome thunder and lightning storms for about a day and boom, wake up to crystal clear clean air and skys the next morning.     :jumpie

Very cool pics Mike.  I love lightning.  The midwest gets some pretty cool storms too.  The best storms I've ever seen where from the sky though.  When the clouds are big and fluffy and lightning is going every way (up, down, sidways) through the clouds. At sunset it is a sight to behold.  No film could ever capture it.  

Miller, have you ever seen one of the storms I'm refering to from the skys?

Actually we are having a late Monsoon, it usually starts in early to mid July but technically we are not in the season yet because we havn't averaged 55 degree Diew Point 3 days in a row yet. The moisture that we are getting now is from Claudette and maybe it will trigger the Monsoon, we are due!.. :)

Ah Shit... It is monsoon season at the river isn't it.  :(    I was planning on going out there on the 1st, but now I'm reconsidering.  

Any bets on how the weathers gonna be 13 days from now?
