I haven't found any info on this yet on the internet, but I have been watching a boat being raised off the east jetty of Newport Beach.  A couple of weeks ago, I noticed divers and airbags off the beach in Corona del Mar.  One day, the top of a boat barely broke the surface.  It was kind of hard to identify what type of boat it was at first. It raises approximately 1 foot a day.  The main deck is almost to the surface and it's obvious now it's a pretty big boat.  I tried to get some pics on my camera phone, but without zoom, I couldn't get any. :( The locals tell me that it's a $3 million, 60 foot yacht. :eek

Does anyone have any details? :good

I though I heard something about that boat running aground one night a while back. They are just now getting it up?  :stupid

It doesn't look like it was down very long.  There is no discoloration on the white glass.

I just didn't know that raising it would be such a long process. :stupid There is a crew of around 10 working on it and it only comes up around 1 foot per day.

There's a whole lot of water to get out of that boat, and that thing is way heavy!..
