Sure am glad that I did not buy a new iphone when they came out.  Everyone knew the price would drop.  But, drop so soon and so much.

I really needed another reminder. :bebe

I bought one for my daughter for her sweet sixteen.....and frankly, It was worth ten times that to see the smile on her face. It was surely a big hit.

Here's a shot she took when we went out to dinner. She's in the middle.

The shocker wasn't that the price dropped, but so much, so soon. Oh well - they are giving $100 rebates if you made the purchase over 14 days ago.

It is pretty nifty though.  :D

Great product...just heard the price drop as well... :beat   Also heard that someone figured out a hack to use it with T-Mobile... :cool maybe others... :stupid

Here's my new phone story:

For the past 3 years, I have had a phone on the Sprint network.  For $15 extra per month, I had the Sprint Vision package, which allowed me unlimited internet access through the phone's browser.  I've had a data cable for the past 3 years, that allowed me to use my laptop's browser and the phone as a data modem.  By the way, this was much faster than analog dialup. :good No one believed the deal I was getting. $15 per month for unlimited internet access faster than dialup. :eek

So just recently, my phone took a dump. :(  I replaced it with a similar phone.  Even though my data cord worked on the new phone, Sprint wouldn't allow me to use their data network anymore. :beat  I figured, oh well, I guess I'll have to step up to a broadband card for more $$$, but I'll get more speed out of it.

My cost is $45 more per month now. :eek  $60 for unlimited access - $15 for the Sprint Vision that I cancelled.

Now here's the punchline.  The $45 more per month broadband card works at exactly the same speed as my $15 per month setup that I've used for the past 3 years. :angry  :flamed  :fouet  :break  :beat  :guns  :banghead  :pissed  :finger

Yep, I have a similar set-up but I'm using a first generation Motorola Razr and some bootleg software I got off the internet. Whenever my T-1 here at the office goes down I plug in my cell phone and I'm back to business - goofing off! :D

That's one reason I didn't get an iphone for myself....one of many actually - no voice recognition, blutooth, ringtones, price...stop me anytime..... :laugh

I have no clue as to what you are all talking about, yes I have heard about the new phones, but all that other mumbo jumbo stuff, I'm lost, I know I have a new phone now with a camara on it, not sure how it works but when it rings I just pick up, now it has been making a clicking sound for awhile now, so I ask my wife what the hell is it doing, she said my little girl is tex'ing me, what ever that is, can't she just call.
My last phone was a nextel, I love that phone, but it pissed me off one day and I though it out the window at 70 mph, the wife was not happy.
