PHOENIX - It sounds like science fiction but it's true: A killer amoeba living in lakes enters the body through the nose and attacks the brain where it feeds until you die.

You are ten times more likely to get hit by lightning and die then get an amoeba up the shnoz...

It doesn't sound like a pleasent way to die, but the media is blowing this waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of porportion...

I can see it now... the hot river accessory will be matching nose plugs for all those pasties...

The article didn't mention the one we had at Lake Pleasant earlier in the year that died from the same thing. Sounds like a crappy way to go though.
