....listening to the "Black Sabbath" album and sharing sodas and candy bars with the teacher (that he let us "ditch" to go get) during my 3rd period Drafting class in high school in 1972. Could you imagine the stink that that would raise today? What are your memories of "unacceptable behaviour" that was "overlooked" when you went to school?

Everybody in High school had a gun in their truck... either in a gun rack in the rear window, or behind the seat.  (I grew up not quite in the middle of nowhere)...

Went to high school at Kofa High in Yuma and our Senior Ditch day was always out at Senator's Wash...on the back side.   One of my teachers, the Drivers Ed/Sex Ed teacher was AT me Senior Ditch Day....drinking out of the Keg with us.

I had a math teacher that smelled like Bourbon during first period.  And he took lunch break in the boiler room smoking and drinking out of a thermos with the shop teacher. :drink

Ah, the good ol days. We would sit in the shop teachers class if we didn't feel like going to our other classes. He was in good with the Football coach. Seems as though if you could play football we could get away with anything...

I Used To Wear Levi Shorts And A T-Shirt To School.....6 Hours Of Naps!!  :good  :sleep  :D I Was Always A Good Kid In School!! :D

Well in 1971 I was riding my 250yz on the track around the football field doing the speedway thing and got cought by my auto shop teacher. He never turned me in! He was a Cool Dude! :good

We had a "smoking section" at our high school. You had to be in that section to smoke cigs/cloves.

I'd go to keggers at lake lahontan.....Now I have teenage girls, when they ask to go to the lake for a overnighter with thier highchool friends, I tell them no way in hell.....And they both belive I was a good boy in highschool.  :laugh

Yeh I have a few, the tech let us drive up to town to get pizza's for lunch, during study hall.
Our techer turned his back when we were smoking in the paint booth by the exhaust vent, and I don't me camels either,LOL  Man I don't remember much more, I need to think about this.

I was always up on my work in Drafting. Won several awards for my work. Should have pursued it but in the early "70s, Draftsmen were a dime a dozen and I was looking for the big money. Been doing industrial maintenance since I was 21. Man, was that a dumb move. Decent money but not to diverse or much room for growth. The only thing that it did do was make me appreciate my Dad alot more (he was in industrial maintenance virtually his entire life) and brought us that much closer. Probably wouldn't have closed the bar at Eagle Mountain with him as much as we did.

Thanx for sharin' y'all! Been awhile since I remembered my line coach from football. He would always go home for dinner before practice and dinner included at least 4 glasses of wine. You could get a buzz just standin' downwind!  :p

....and some of your guys' school policy on smokin' were way more liberal than mine! Cloves MMSW?  :eek

Oh that,... it was the "school" part that threw me off.  :laugh

Yep, pretty much buzzed through senior year....I do remember the time we put the health teacher's VW in the hallway of an empty annex....removed the center post from a set of double doors, pushed it in and put the post back. :laugh

Those were good times.  :good
