I remember going every week with the dad every since I was to young to remember. 35 years gone and I still remember it like it was yesterday. Luckly Nitro still smells like Nitro.

Yup! Same here it was between 1960 and 1966 when my Dad use to take me I still have a couple of his old pics, Some at Lions , Orange County, and Fontana.

This is my Dads first Car,1962 Plymouth valiant it had a 426 Hemi, 456 gears, 727 torqflite push button  transmission.  :good The driver in this pic is my mom, :eek  She turned a 10.36 ET. At Lions drag strip in 1965!

I moved from Mich to Cali in 72, always used to hear about all the cool $hit that went on there, fortunately I was able to attend the last two races!.. :good Then got invloved with an altered and ended up closing up the County, was some good times there!.. :good

Hey Rod, did this car became all black????, there was one running brackets at the County for a while with a Hemi, very clean piece it was a bracket 2 car!.. :good

Hmmm, wonder what happened to it and if it's the same one?, I remember he said it was nasty when he got his and he had to totally redo the car from the ground up, I never cared for those always thought they were butt ugly, but this one was a class act after he got done with it!. :good

Well I know it is not the same one as my dad was put in jail for a sh*t load of 502s for 3 years :flamed  :beat  :drink  and I couldn't keep he shop as I was only 17 with no job so and still going to school, I had to junk it at the scrap yard with a bunch of other stuff that I couldn't put in our garage! :cry

You know what the funny thing about it was?  My mom was 1/2 second faster then my Dad! :laugh in the same car!  He didn't like that too much. :beat
