We do in Oceanside, 2 times a month they come, 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.
Anyhow, today they came by which it appears caught several neighbors by surprise(parking tix on sweeper day). I suppose City Services delayed one day due to the Holiday does not include the street sweeper like it does trash and recycling :rolleyes  :rolleyes . The friggen merry sweeper and his little biatch that drives a Ranger behind him to leave her tickets on all the windows was in full swing this morning.
I doubt most expected it to come as not a soul had left trash out last night.
I'm not venting for my own sake cuz I don't have to park on the street but many others are parked there. It's just kinda typical for this city of mine....

Sneak Attack. That ticket money might be keeping Oceanside in the black. Next you'll be getting a ticket for using your wipers without having the headlights on.

Street sweepers don't work well on the roads dirt roads out here, that and they throw the horse poop all over :eek  :D

I think that they sweep my street about three times a year.  It's hard to count on the city to do much of anything on a schedule.  But at least they don't ticket your car.

Just livin' the dream in Lake Havasu.......

Where I live in Orange, they sweep BOTH SIDES of the street every Tuesday during a 4 hour window.  If I'm home during that time, I have to park on an adjacent street.  The fine for violations is somewhere between $25 and $40, but I don't recall exactly what it is.  Where I work in Corona del Mar (City of Newport Beach) they sweep ONE SIDE of the street on the same day every week and the OTHER SIDE of the street on a different day of the week, also, during a 4 hour window.

I got another gripe about them sweepers too, because normally they come the same day as trash/greenwaste/recyclable pick ups.

Picture this: I beautiful parade with horses prancing all over and leaving AZKC style dropping on the roadway.....stupid thing is that the guy pushing the cart with shovel and broom was the first person in the parade.

Now, thats basically how my trash day looks like. Street Sweeper goes through and gets 90% of the crud....then all the careless trash/recycle guys come along and drop 50% new crud back onto the streets. :beat

There is no sweeping here in the mountains. They just use there snow plows to move everything off to the side of the roads. :beat  :stupid

They sweep main street early morning every morning here.  And the other streets just get it when they need it.
