On another subject, how about them SUper Chargers... ÂÂ
Did you guys make it out to Martinez this past weekend??? Bet it was colder then a withches tit in a brass bra...   |
Thanks--  luckily we have all of tax season to get the bimini made before we will need it ÂÂ
We did go to Martinez for New Years-- and yes, it was in the 20's and ridiculously cold despite my best effort to create an impenetrable booze blanket for myself.  There was a random (sort of) at the bar on Friday night who decided it would be a good idea to steal some stuff off vehicles in the parking lot.  To make a long story short, a lynch-mob of 8 vehicles full of people tracked the guy down.  I was in the vehicle that got a flat tire on Red Cloud Mine Road  (which I'm sure you know, due to some unknown reason, always feels about 10 degrees colder than anywhere else out there) We were out there until about 4am.   BRRRRRR!!    I haven't been sick in 3 years and the only time I don't bring my life-saving "Emergen-C" and I freeking get a cold! Arrrgh! |
Damn, who was the thief? Did you guys beat his ass down and get the goods back? Did Pete make it out? Sorry about you being sick, hope that you get better quick... |
Thanks CE and BM!
Barry, the guy who did it actually lives out there. His name is Eli and he works for Fish & Game. He had two tweeker-looking buddies with him, but we were unable to confirm who actually stole the speakers. When the convoy caught up with him, Ely was by himself with the speakers in his truck. I have a feeling that his buddies thought it would be a good idea to steal the stuff and then Eli had second thoughts about the ramifications since he lives out there. He was sitting on Red Cloud Mine road when 8 of our friends vehicles boxed him in. He took off and, luckily for him, the guy who caught him was a very level-headed fellow who gave him a talkin'-to and told him to be on his way. Thank goodness none of the people I was riding with found him-- that wouldn't have been good. I'm relieved that I didn't have to see anything violent, although I do like that everyone in our group watches everyone's back. I talked to Charlie Bush (such a great guy) the next morning and he mentioned that they have had some previous problems with the guy. I wish that there was a way of reporting him to Fish & Game-- seems like person like that shouldn't have a job with anymore importance than pulling the fries when they are done. I can't stand a thief.
