Of the food stores called "Smart and fresh" or something like that, there out of cali. I'm looking for a website for them.

Smart & Final's everywhere. Just started seeing Smart & Fresh commercails, a lot. Have no idea were one is. Gotta give us a break, we finally got a Hooter's.

As far as hooter's go's, They all closed up here in northeast ohio, but they have them down in dayton and columbus, they left us too.

What a coinkydink, I just got off the phone with my Mom and she went to Fresh and Easy today.  She wasn't impressed.  I think the design concept is for "folks on the go" or who have little in the way of cooking skills.  Most stuff is prepackaged/preprepared and isn't cheap.  I think I'll stick to Trader Joes.  She said the store was basically empty, and she doesn't think they will make it.

They do sell normal unprepared stuff as well, like whole chickens or chicken breasts etc, but I think much of their stuff is designed to be taken out of the package and cooked, all the prep is done for you.  Granted it saves time, but I'd be worried about the quality.

Mom went because she needed a bell pepper and the store was near the hair salon.  She had to buy a package of 3 peppers, apparently they didn't have them individually.  That bugs me.  Cost wise she said it wasn't bad...but she only needed one so the others may end up going to waste.

If two go to waste, that triples the cost. Ouch. I've gotta check it out though.

They just opened one of the Fresh & Easy's in Compton  :eek

Prince Andrew- da Duke of York was there to cut the ribbon at the Grand Opening....man, did he look like a fish out of water! :laugh

The Mayor of Comptton bagged on Trader Joes and Whole Foods Market 'cause they wouldn't open a store there....

...sometimes local knowledge pays  :good
